[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) held a meeting on the 9th in the mayor's office with the 'Gwangjin-gu Honorary Mayors' to discuss overcoming COVID-19.
At the meeting, Mayor Kim Seon-gap and 10 honorary mayors from each neighborhood attended to share the COVID-19 situation and discuss response measures.
Mayor Kim Seon-gap stated, "Our district plans to respond with a two-track approach by supplementing and changing the quarantine system and actively promoting vaccination in preparation for the COVID-19 situation," adding, "If you have any good ideas for a safe Gwangjin-gu from COVID-19, please feel free to suggest them at any time."
He also said, "Furthermore, we will do our best to protect the safety and daily lives of residents by steadily promoting projects promised to the residents, such as urban planning and the environment."
Meanwhile, in 2019, the district appointed 30 residents with abundant knowledge and experience in the area as Gwangjin-gu Honorary Mayors and Honorary Neighborhood Chiefs to communicate across the district administration and receive policy proposals.
