Creating Entry Logs with a Single Call... Gangbuk-gu Launches '080 Safe Call' System
Collected Information Used Only for Epidemiological Investigation Purposes, Apply on Facility Manager's Old Website
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Kyum-soo) will launch the ‘080 Safe Entry Call’ service from the 14th, which replaces the creation of entry logs with a single free phone call.
This system was introduced to complement the limitations of the existing electronic and handwritten entry logs.
So far, residents from information-vulnerable groups have expressed difficulties in using QR codes. Handwritten logs also had issues such as inaccurate information entry, personal information leakage, and infections caused by shared pen use.
The Safe Call works by visitors to multi-use facilities calling a unique number assigned to the building, and the entry record is automatically stored on the telecom server.
The service can operate with only telecom charges, without any additional introduction costs. Many people can use it simultaneously. The biggest advantage is that anyone can register their entry record with just one phone call without any restrictions.
The target facilities include 8,623 locations such as karaoke rooms, PC rooms, and general restaurants.
Facility managers can receive a unique number from the 14th via the application screen linked to the district website. The number is assigned immediately upon application. The district plans to secure 10,000 lines in preparation for an increase in target facilities.
The call cost will be paid by the recipient, the district office. The encrypted collected information will be used only for epidemiological investigations and will be automatically deleted after one month.
