Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Holds Launch Ceremony for Safety and Life Support Project for Vulnerable Elderly Job Seekers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced on the 7th that it held a launch ceremony for the ‘Happiness Sharing Love Practice Lunchbox Delivery’ to support the healthy lives of vulnerable elderly at the Gwangyang Senior Welfare Center on the 7th.
This project is sponsored by the Authority and POSCO, and cooperated by Gwangyang City and Jungma Senior Welfare Center. It is an inclusive welfare project aimed at providing nutritious lunchboxes to vulnerable elderly in the region, creating senior-type jobs, and establishing a community safety net where elderly help and care for other elderly.
At the event, Vice President Kim Seon-jong said, “We will create healthy senior jobs and welfare services for vulnerable elderly in the region moving toward a super-aged society, and by combining employees’ volunteer activities, we will realize concrete and practical social values that improve the quality of life for the elderly.”
