"KKR in Negotiations to Acquire Macquarie Atlantic Aviation"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Bloomberg reported on the 6th (local time) that US Macquarie Infrastructure is negotiating to sell Atlantic Aviation to private equity firm KKR.
According to the report, citing anonymous sources, negotiations are underway and a sale agreement could be announced as early as the 7th. The sale price is approximately $4.5 billion including debt.
However, the report explained that since no final agreement has been reached, there is a possibility that the deal may not be completed.
Atlantic Aviation is a US aircraft maintenance company specializing in private aircraft maintenance and repair. The surge in air travel demand due to the post-COVID-19 economic reopening is seen as the background for this deal.
