Hyundai Motor Employee on Business Trip to Kazakhstan Dies After Returning Home While Undergoing Treatment for COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] A Hyundai Motor employee who was on a business trip to Kazakhstan tested positive for COVID-19 and died during treatment after returning to Korea.
According to the industry on the 7th, employee A, who was on a business trip to provide technical support at the Kazakhstan CKD (Completely Knocked Down) plant, died on the 5th while receiving COVID-19 treatment at Inha University Hospital in Jung-gu, Incheon.
A, who departed for Kazakhstan in April, was diagnosed with COVID-19 at the end of that month and had been receiving treatment locally. However, as his condition worsened to severe, he returned to Korea in mid-May and continued treatment.
