Jindo Health Center Full Disinfection, 1st Floor Closed

According to Jindo County and health authorities, a man in his 20s, Mr. A, residing in Jindo-eup, tested positive and was classified as the 11th confirmed case in Jindo.
Mr. A visited a coin karaoke in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju on the 29th of last month, was notified by the Gwangsan-gu Health Center to get tested, visited the Jindo Health Center on the 4th, underwent testing, and received a positive result around 7 a.m. on the 5th.
Jindo County conducted full disinfection of the health center, closed the entire first floor, tested all staff, placed all employees who worked in the same department and those who had contact with Mr. A under self-quarantine, and continued operations with staff who had no contact, such as those at health branches.
Additionally, close contacts are being managed with self-quarantine and active monitoring according to the degree of contact.
The county disinfected and temporarily closed four locations Mr. A visited from the 31st of last month to the 2nd, including a mart, bakery, and convenience store.

A Jindo County official said, “Residents who overlapped or are suspected to have overlapped with the confirmed case’s movement paths should immediately visit the health center’s screening clinic for testing,” and added, “We hope everyone actively participates in the vaccination campaign currently underway for seniors aged 60 and over so that we can overcome COVID-19 as soon as possible.”
