Park Young-sook, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, Receives 'Local Legislative Service Award'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Park Young-sook, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, was honored with the ‘Local Legislative Service Award’ hosted by the ‘Gwangju Metropolitan City Autonomous District Council Chairpersons Association (Chairman Park Hee-yul)’.
According to Seo-gu Council on the 4th, the Local Legislative Service Award is given to council members of basic councils in Gwangju Metropolitan City who have shown enthusiastic local legislative activities, dedicated themselves to regional development and revitalization of local autonomy, and especially paid attention to local issues with a strong sense of duty by improving residents’ living conditions and providing service.
Councilor Park has taken the lead in proposing more than nine ordinances, including the ‘Ordinance on Commemoration of Couples’ Day in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City,’ the ‘Ordinance on Support for Fostering Women Farmers in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City,’ and the ‘Ordinance on Preliminary Inspection of Installation of Convenience Facilities for the Disabled in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.’
She was also recognized for her efforts to establish a friendly and harmonious council image by listening to citizens’ voices through field visits and reflecting them in legislation.
