Jeong Jong-yoon, Member of Wanju-gun Council in Jeonbuk, Hustles to Resolve Current Issues
Meeting with National Assembly Member An Ho-young to Request 'Special Local Tax'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] Jeong Jong-yoon, a member of the Wanju County Council in Jeonbuk, is working tirelessly to secure special grants for urgent projects.
Jeong recently visited the office of National Assembly member Ahn Ho-young along with the head of Wanju County's Disaster Safety Division and other officials to request national funding for urgent projects related to the construction of a safety experience center, removal of illegal river facilities, and installation of riffles, he announced on the 4th.
On that day, Jeong emphasized the importance of constructing the safety experience center, a facility necessary for children's safety education, and actively requested the inclusion of special grants in next year's budget.
He also requested budget support for the removal of illegal facilities along rivers flowing through Wanju County and for the installation of riffles to preserve the natural ecosystem.
These illegal facilities not only pose safety issues but also cause discomfort due to their unsightly appearance, leading to numerous complaints.
Jeong said, "Since this is a project that the Wanju County Council is also interested in, the strong support of the local National Assembly member is necessary," and added, "I ask for attention and support for many urgent projects beyond those proposed."
In response, National Assembly member Ahn Ho-young stated, "Since this budget is necessary for Wanju County, I will do my best to secure it," and added, "I will devote all efforts to ensure that national funding is provided for various urgent projects beyond those proposed."
Meanwhile, Jeong, a former aide to National Assembly member Ahn Ho-young, has been tirelessly working to restore the research funds for the Wanju Innovation City publishing industry cluster project, which were cut by the government last year.
