16 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed at Bank of Korea Integrated Annex Construction Site
Closure of Construction Site and Implementation of Disinfection Measures
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Eunbyeol] The Bank of Korea announced on the 4th that 16 COVID-19 cases were confirmed at the construction site of the Integrated Annex building, leading to the closure of the construction site.
The Bank of Korea stated, "One subcontractor employee from Gyeryong Construction at the Integrated Annex construction site showed fever symptoms on the evening of the 1st and tested positive for COVID-19 on the morning of the 3rd. Subsequently, all personnel working on-site or visiting were instructed to undergo COVID-19 testing, and so far, 15 additional cases have been confirmed."

The Bank of Korea began the construction of the Integrated Annex on Namdaemun-ro, Seoul, on December 5, 2019, aiming for completion on March 23, 2022.
