8th 'Gibo Venture Camp' Startup Demo Day Held
Discovering and Nurturing Technology Innovation Entrepreneurs
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jung Yoon-mo, hereinafter Kibo) announced that it held the 8th Kibo Venture Camp Integrated Demo Day on the 4th to provide investment opportunities for startups discovered and nurtured through the Kibo Venture Camp program.
At this Demo Day, 12 technology innovation startup companies discovered by Kibo participated, and investors including accelerators and venture capitalists observed the event. The IR videos of the Demo Day companies can be viewed on Kibo's YouTube channel, which is expected to increase opportunities for investment attraction.
The Kibo Venture Camp is a program designed to discover and nurture innovative entrepreneurs in line with the government's announced 'Innovation Startup Ecosystem Creation Plan.' Based on its accumulated experience in supporting technology startups, Kibo is focusing on nurturing innovative startup companies into star venture companies through collaboration with private accelerators.
Kibo provides participating companies in the Kibo Venture Camp with benefits such as ▲accelerating support including mentoring, education, consulting, and network support ▲non-financial support such as patent and commercialization promotion strategies, technology transactions, and research and development (R&D) support ▲guarantee support up to 200 million KRW regardless of sales performance ▲application of a 95% guarantee ratio and a 0.2% point reduction in guarantee fees ▲for excellent participating companies within the top 25%, benefits such as a maximum guarantee limit of 1.5 billion KRW and exemption from technology evaluation fees.
