Seoul Superintendent of Education Jo Hee-yeon to Receive 'AZ Vaccine' at Guro-gu Health Center on the 4th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Superintendent Cho Hee-yeon will receive the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine at the Guro-gu Public Health Center at 5 p.m. on the 4th.
This vaccination is being promoted to increase trust in the COVID-19 vaccination and to alleviate concerns and anxieties among school staff, following the lead of education leaders such as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, and metropolitan and provincial superintendents of education who are voluntarily getting vaccinated.
Superintendent Cho said, "As a prerequisite for full in-person classes in the second semester, vaccination of all school staff must be completed by the summer vacation," adding, "The government and quarantine authorities should actively consider ensuring that schools become safe zones protecting the health of students and staff by completing vaccination of all school staff before the second semester begins."
