According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 3rd, as of 6 p.m. that day, 4 people were confirmed to be infected with the COVID-19 virus and were classified as cases 2820 to 2823.
Three of them were linked to existing confirmed cases or related chain infections, and one had an unknown infection route.
Case 2820 is an acquaintance of case 2804, who was confirmed positive on the 30th of last month. Classified as a close contact, they were under self-quarantine and tested positive after symptoms appeared.
Case 2822 is a child attending a daycare center in Buk-gu and was classified as a contact of a daycare teacher (case 2796) who was confirmed positive on the 30th of last month. They were also under quarantine and tested after symptoms appeared.
Case 2823 was confirmed to have had contact with case 2691, who tested positive on the 22nd of last month.
