Goseong-gun Operates Healing Program for Families of Dementia Patients
Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, helps reduce the psychological burden of families of dementia patients and prevent social isolation through a healing program.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will implement self-help meetings and healing programs from the 2nd to July 21st to reduce the psychological burden of families of dementia patients and prevent social isolation.
This program provides an opportunity to support and comfort the physical, psychological, and emotional hardships caused by the caregiving burden through emotional and informational exchange among families of patients diagnosed with dementia or mild cognitive impairment decline.
Participating families will express, alleviate, and recover from psychological difficulties or emotional issues through horticultural occupational therapy and craft therapy every Wednesday for a total of 8 weeks.
