Eunpyeong-gu Eutteurak Library Renovates 2nd Quarter 2021 Empathy Bulletin Board... Poet Nataju's 'Alone' Featured
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] ‘Compared to flowers blooming in pairs or threes / Sometimes a flower blooming alone / Is more confident and beautiful / Today, you stand alone, lonely / As a flower / Don’t be too troubled by it’
Eunpyeong-gu Eunteurak Library (Director Kim Myung-soo) newly posted poet Na Tae-joo’s “Alone” on its empathy message board on the 28th of last month.
Kim Myung-soo, who was appointed this year, stated, “In life, we sometimes blend with others but also stand alone. Rather than struggling too much with loneliness, this phrase was selected to remind ourselves that our existence is complete even by ourselves.”
The flower language of chamomile is ‘strength that does not yield to adversity.’ The empathy message board was designed with the meaning of overcoming the ‘Corona Blue’ caused by prolonged social distancing due to COVID-19.
A representative of the Eunteurak Library said, “We hope local residents receive encouragement through the hopeful message on the empathy board and visit the library to soothe their weary hearts.”
