OB Beer Achieves Four Crowns at Belgium International Food and Beverage Awards
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] OB Beer announced on the 2nd that its flagship brands ‘Cass Fresh’, ‘Cass Light’, ‘Cass 0.0’, and ‘Hanmac’ each won the ‘International Superior Taste Award’ at the ‘2021 iTi International Taste Institute Awards’ hosted by the Belgian International Taste Institute (iTi).
The International Taste Institute Awards is an annual event held by the International Taste Institute, a food and beverage quality evaluation organization established in 2005 in Brussels, Belgium. It evaluates various food and beverage products produced worldwide and grants official certification marks to outstanding products. A panel of over 200 renowned chefs and sommeliers conducts blind tests to rigorously assess multiple criteria such as taste and aroma.
OB Beer’s four brands received excellent evaluations in various categories including taste, aroma, and first impression, becoming the only domestic beer manufacturer and brand to receive the honor. Cass Fresh and Cass Light won the International Superior Taste Award for the second consecutive year, further elevating the status of Korean beer. Hanmac and Cass 0.0 achieved the remarkable feat of winning the award in their first year of entry.
