[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Geoje City in Gyeongnam announced on the 1st that it conducted a mock drill at the City Hall General Civil Service Office to prepare for emergency situations such as verbal abuse and assault.
This drill aims to protect citizens and public officials exposed to danger during unusual civil complaints and to clarify the roles of each employee to enhance systematic on-site response capabilities.
The drill included calming and mediating the complainant during verbal abuse incidents, recording and filming, calling the police using the emergency bell, evacuating the affected public officials and nearby complainants, restraining the complainant in coordination with the security guards, and handing over to the police in sequence.
In particular, the drill focused on creating a safe working environment by identifying the locations of CCTV and emergency bells, checking their proper operation, and confirming the police's prompt response cooperation system when the emergency bell is activated.
