Gokseong-gun Sells Unused Agricultural Machinery for Rental Business to Local Farmers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Geun-gi) announced on the 1st that it sold 26 units of 9 types of old agricultural machinery to local farmers through on-site bidding on the 28th.
A total of 42 units of 14 types of agricultural machinery were listed for sale. These were machines whose usage period had expired among the equipment rented out by Gokseong-gun to local farmers. By selling the usable ones at a low price, the sale was promoted to reduce the burden of agricultural machinery on farmers. As a result, 26 units of 9 types, including small tractors, were finally sold.
The bidding was conducted targeting farmers residing in the area in accordance with Article 78 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Management of Public Property and Goods (Methods and Exceptions for the Sale of Unused Items). Those wishing to bid were allowed to directly inspect the unused agricultural machinery during the 16-day prior announcement period starting May 10 and submit a bid form. The highest bidder among the submitted prices won the bid, and the number of units won per person was limited to two.
