This product allows enrollment if the applicant does not fall under either of the two questions: whether there has been hospitalization, surgery, or a doctor's recommendation for additional tests within the past 3 months, and whether there has been a diagnosis, hospitalization, or surgery for cancer, liver cirrhosis, angina, myocardial infarction, or stroke within the past 5 years.
It features 12 optional riders that allow customers to focus coverage on specific areas they desire. In particular, there are separate riders for cancer, stroke, and acute myocardial infarction, enabling selection of only the coverage areas that are lacking. If enrolled in the hospitalization and surgery rider, daily hospitalization benefits and surgery expenses due to the three major diseases are paid.
The cancer, stroke, and acute myocardial infarction coverage riders are divided into basic and living expense types. The basic type provides coverage of 10 million KRW upon diagnosis of any of the three major diseases. If the living expense type is selected, 1 million KRW is paid monthly for three years if the insured survives after diagnosis of any of the three major diseases.
Additionally, it covers 10 million KRW for proton radiation therapy for cancer. Unlike conventional radiation therapy that affects all tissues and causes severe side effects, proton radiation therapy targets only cancer cells, significantly reducing side effects.
