View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Security specialist KT Telecop announced on the 31st that it has launched the ‘GigaEyes Unmanned PC Bang’ solution, an unmanned security solution based on a contactless access control system.
The GigaEyes Unmanned PC Bang was newly released after successfully conducting a pilot service last year and upgrading additional features such as intelligent video surveillance. For pre-registered unmanned PC Bang members, entry is possible through iris recognition, and for non-members, entry is allowed via identity verification followed by a QR code.
In particular, if an unauthorized person enters when the door is opened, the people counter sensor detects abnormal entry, and the control operator checks the situation on-site through intelligent video surveillance and responds accordingly. Additionally, during late-night hours when minors are not allowed to use the facility, entry of minors can be restricted without on-site staff.
Besides access control, it prevents various unexpected situations that may occur in unmanned PC Bangs in advance. If customers approach counters or storage areas restricted to staff only, or if a dispute occurs between customers, security personnel promptly dispatch to the scene to take swift action. Furthermore, customized services necessary for unmanned PC Bangs such as fire detection sensors and emergency call bells are provided.
Moreover, PC Bang owners can check the status of their PC Bang anytime and anywhere through CCTV. Customer entry records are also sent in real-time to the owner’s smartphone. In case of an incident, compensation of up to 10 million KRW for theft and up to 100 million KRW for fire is provided.
KT Telecop is conducting a customer benefit promotion to commemorate the launch of GigaEyes Unmanned PC Bang until July 31. Customers who subscribe to the service during this period will receive one month of waived monthly fees and exemption from new installation construction costs. Customers using KT PC Bang dedicated lines can also receive an additional 10,000 KRW monthly discount through bundled discounts.
