Andong-si Expands Maternal and Newborn 'Health Management Project' to All Households
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Andong City announced on the 31st that it is expanding the Maternal and Newborn Health Care Support Project to include all childbirth families residing in Andong City.
This project is a service where professionally trained health managers visit childbirth families to support postpartum recovery of mothers and care for newborns. Eligible recipients are those who gave birth or are expected to give birth after May 22. The support amount and personal payment vary depending on fetal type, birth order, income level, and usage period.
The eligibility criteria have been expanded from households with median income below 120% to households with median income below 150% (7.31 million KRW per month for a family of four). Andong City explained that practically all childbirth families are now included as eligible recipients.

Mothers who wish to receive the service can apply from 40 days before the expected delivery date up to 30 days after delivery through the Bokjiro website or the Government24 Mom Comfortable Pregnancy service.
