Mayor Lee Kang-deok emphasized, "Discharging nuclear power plant contaminated water into the sea is no different from pouring poison into the ocean," adding, "It is an act that seriously threatens the safety of not only Japan but also our country and the entire world, and it is absolutely unacceptable."
