FKI Sends 'Emergency Relief Fund' to India Struggling Due to COVID-19
The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) announced on the 30th that it has sent emergency aid funds to India, which is struggling due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.
On the 28th, FKI provided a certain amount of emergency COVID-19 relief funds through the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), FKI's Indian partner, to help India overcome COVID-19, expressing hope that India will recover from the pandemic as soon as possible.
CII, established in 1895, is India's largest economic organization, operating over 7,000 member companies and domestic and international offices. Since 1979, FKI and CII have operated the Korea-India Economic Cooperation Committee, and CII is also scheduled to attend the Asia Business Summit, an Asian regional economic organization summit hosted by FKI in November this year.
