Samsung 'Galaxy Buds2' Battery Capacity May Be Smaller Than 'Buds Plus'
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] There are expectations that the battery life of Samsung Electronics' wireless earphones, the 'Galaxy Buds2,' expected to be released in August, may be shorter than that of the 'Galaxy Buds Plus.'
On the 28th (local time), IT specialist media SamMobile reported, citing famous IT tipster Ice Universe, that the battery capacity of the Galaxy Buds2 will be 120mAh for the earbuds (60mAh each for left and right) and 500mAh for the case.
This is a reduced battery capacity compared to the Galaxy Buds Plus, which has a battery capacity of 85mAh per earbud. Currently, the Galaxy Buds Plus can be used for about 11 hours on a single charge, but if the power efficiency of the Galaxy Buds2 is not improved, the usage time is expected to be shorter than that of the Galaxy Buds Plus.
Ice Universe predicted that the Galaxy Buds2 will offer improved sound quality and active noise reduction features compared to before. Ice Universe stated, "It is highly likely that the Galaxy Buds2 will adopt passive noise cancellation instead of active noise cancelling (ANC), and will support Bluetooth 5.0 with LE and Qi wireless charging (2.5W) functions."

Meanwhile, the design is expected to be similar to the 'Galaxy Buds Pro' rather than the Galaxy Buds or Galaxy Buds Plus. The case also appears to be moving away from the old pill-shaped design to a rounded square shape similar to the Buds Pro.
