One Employee at Jeju Airport Domestic Duty-Free Shop Tests Positive for COVID-19... Jeju Island on High Alert for Consecutive Days
A domestic duty-free sales promotion employee working at the Jeju International Free City Development Center (JDC) inside Jeju International Airport tested positive for COVID-19, leading to the temporary closure of the duty-free shop on the 29th.
On the morning of the same day, JDC announced that one sales promotion employee had been confirmed positive for COVID-19 by health authorities.
Accordingly, JDC temporarily suspended the operation of the domestic duty-free shop from around noon that day in accordance with the measures of the health authorities.
It was investigated that the confirmed sales promotion employee had visited the duty-free shop lounge, and Jeju Province is conducting diagnostic tests on about 500 employees who had related contact paths.
