[2021 Apartment Brand Awards] Hyundai Construction, Excellent Exterior, Color, Landscaping, and Customized Community
Hyundai Construction 'Hillstate' Wins Grand Prize in Premium Design Category
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Hyundai Engineering & Construction, which won the grand prize in the design category, boasts a distinctive complex exterior through its flagship brands ‘Hillstate’ and ‘The H’. As the industry leader in construction, Hyundai E&C has been recognized for its accumulated know-how, excellent construction capabilities, and outstanding design skills.
Hyundai E&C’s ‘Hillstate’ has established itself as a representative residential brand in Korea through high-end design, specialized floor plans, integrated color design, and customized community facilities. First, in a comprehensive ranking combining awareness, preference, brand value, and purchase intention from an apartment brand power survey conducted by Dr. Apartment, Hillstate ranked first for two consecutive years in 2019 and 2020. In the apartment brand reputation survey announced by the Corporate Reputation Research Institute, Hillstate also ranked first for 25 consecutive months from April 2019 to April this year, proving its value as an industry-leading brand. Moreover, Hillstate’s excellence in landscape design was globally recognized by winning the main prize at the 2019 American IDEA Design Awards, one of the world’s top three design awards.
Hyundai E&C’s high-end design is fully embodied in ‘Hillstate Pangyo Elforet,’ located in the Daejang District of Pangyo, Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province, which is about to be occupied. This complex, built by a consortium of Hyundai E&C and Hyundai Engineering, is developed on blocks A3, A4, and A6 of the Pangyo Daejang District, consisting of 836 households with buildings ranging from three basement floors to 20 above-ground floors (A3 and A6 blocks), and two basement floors to 20 above-ground floors (A4 block). Notably, it is the only apartment complex in the Pangyo Daejang District where all housing types are large-sized, ranging from 128 to 162 square meters (exclusive area). There are 11 housing types. The A3 block offers a total of 121 units: △139㎡ 99 units △145㎡ 9 units △147㎡ 11 units △162㎡ 2 units; the A4 block has a total of 251 units: △131㎡ 246 units △159㎡ 5 units; and the A6 block supplies 464 units of 128㎡ each.
Specialized designs are applied to match the large housing sizes. Penthouse units are located on the top floors. The ceiling height on floors 1 to 3 reaches 2.7 meters, providing a spacious feeling. Depending on the housing type, 4.5-bay (number of living rooms and rooms arranged toward the front balcony) and 5-bay layouts are introduced to maximize lighting and ventilation.

The parking spaces are generously sized with a width of 2.5 meters and a depth of 5.1 meters per section, and the underground parking has a ceiling height of up to 2.7 meters to allow delivery vehicles to enter. Storage rooms are provided in the underground hall for individual storage use. Community facilities for residents include a party room, indoor golf practice range, fitness center, moms’ caf?, study rooms, and reading rooms.
