Gyeongnam Province Takes Temporary Measures to Support Care Workers to Address Care Service Gaps
288 Additional Care Staff Supported for Community Child Centers and Dahamkke Care Centers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 27th that it will temporarily allocate additional care personnel to local children's centers and Dahamkke Care Centers.
As the COVID-19 situation has prolonged, blind spots in after-school care have emerged, and the urgent care demand from dual-income families has surged, causing increased workload and difficulties for care institutions.
To resolve this, the province plans to support 288 additional care personnel to local children's centers and Dahamkke Care Centers, assigning up to 2 personnel per center and providing labor cost support for six months.
The additional care personnel will be hired through open recruitment per center, requiring qualifications such as social worker or childcare teacher certifications, the same as existing staff at local children's centers and Dahamkke Care Centers.
After hiring, they will complete 10 hours of training on children's rights, child abuse, and other topics before working at the centers.
