Eunpyeong-gu, Recruiting Participants for Resident Technology School
Recruitment of Participants for 'Eunpyeong Integrated Care School' to Train Care Workers and Create Jobs
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) has been selected for the Seoul Metropolitan Government's '2021 Resident Skills School Project' and is opening the 'Eunpyeong Integrated Care School,' a training course for nurturing daily life care personnel in the local community. They are recruiting Eunpyeong-gu residents interested in jobs related to daily care until June 3.
The 'Resident Skills School Project' is a Seoul Metropolitan Government-supported initiative where residents trained in skills based on daily life demands participate in social service projects or establish local management enterprises, growing as economic agents in the community, revitalizing the local economy, and creating a socially sustainable social economy ecosystem.
Eunpyeong-gu is promoting the second phase of the 2021 Resident Skills School Project following last year.
The 'Eunpyeong Integrated Care School' is an educational program aimed at training professionals who independently operate help and care services needed in daily life. It will conduct a total of seven basic classes (including one workshop) every Thursday from June 10 to July 22.
Graduates of the program can receive advanced training in daily life care skills in various fields such as side dishes and cooking, cleaning and organizing, and childcare. They can also participate in the 'Eunbanjang' project, a social economy care project conducted in the second half of the year to provide community-based care services.
Through last year's first Resident Skills School, Eunpyeong-gu trained talented residents as care personnel and strengthened their capabilities. This year, they plan to discover and reorganize the care pilot project 'Eunbanjang' for providing daily life care services, implement the pilot project, and support the establishment of resident-led social economy enterprises based on this.
An official from Eunpyeong-gu said, "Through the Resident Skills School, we expect to promote the foundation for providing local care services in preparation for an aging society, and to establish a social economy care service system where new jobs and income in the care sector based in the community are created."
