Hunet Talent Matching Platform Talent Bank Appoints Hwang Hwan as New CEO
‘Platform Business Expert’ Who Oversees Online and Mobile-Based Business Planning
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Hunet, a lifelong education specialist company (CEO Jo Youngtak), announced on the 25th that it has appointed Gong Janghwan as the new CEO of its subsidiary talent matching platform Talent Bank.
According to Hunet, Talent Bank is a 'gig economy'-based talent matching platform that connects senior experts with companies to help them carry out projects for the required period. It was created by Hunet in 2018 and spun off as a separate corporation at the end of last year.
The new CEO Gong Janghwan (51) is a platform business expert who has overseen numerous online and mobile-based businesses such as advertising, marketing, and digital content at Yahoo, SK Telecom, eBay, and Woongjin OPMS.
Talent Bank currently has over 3,500 senior experts. Hunet explained that the 're-request rate,' where companies that have used the service once request other projects, reaches 60%. After COVID-19, as companies facing management difficulties in various fields sought experienced experts, Talent Bank recorded a 240% growth in 2020 compared to the previous year.

CEO Gong said, “Based on my diverse platform business experience, I will ensure that Talent Bank establishes itself as a shared economy platform for high-level talent,” and added, “I will do my best to make it a leading gig economy platform and present a new employment trend.”
