Pohang City Holds School Violence Countermeasure Regional Council Meeting... Discussing Public-Private Cooperation Strategies
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] On the 24th, Pohang City held the 2021 School Violence Countermeasure Regional Council at the city hall's main conference room to discuss fundamental prevention and eradication measures for school violence.
Chaired by Vice Mayor Kim Byung-sam of Pohang, the council was attended by 20 people, including city officials, police station and education support office personnel, and representatives of youth organizations.
During the meeting, various opinions were presented, such as conducting a school violence prevention relay campaign involving both parents and students, designating safe stores where victims of school violence can easily seek help, and implementing a mentor-mentee counseling system to guide at-risk youth.
