[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 23rd that it held a special CEO YouTube communication live program called 'Wanshin Live,' featuring the CEO directly, on the 21st to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
'Wanshin Live (Completely New Live)' is a YouTube channel named after CEO Lee Wanshin, serving as a non-face-to-face program where the CEO and employees communicate interactively. It was planned in June last year as a communication program to promote harmony and boost morale among employees amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. This broadcast, commemorating the 20th anniversary, looked back on Lotte Homeshopping's growth process, shared future plans, and was composed of unique segments and content to communicate with various age groups, including the MZ generation.
The '20th Anniversary Wanshin Live' was conducted in a 60-minute talk show format. In his 20th anniversary commemorative speech, CEO Lee said, "Based on the fruits of 20 years created together with employees, we will build an even more promising Lotte Homeshopping for 30 and 40 years to come." After sharing his commitment and future plans to become a 100-year company, he revealed the 20th anniversary commemorative gifts provided to employees and newly introduced welfare policies. The program received high praise by featuring segments modeled after popular variety shows, including interviews and games with couples who have worked for 20 years, videos of employees with 20 years of service sharing their thoughts, the announcement of the winner of the employee-participation 'Blind Audition' held since last month, and a congratulatory performance.
Meanwhile, since his appointment to Lotte Homeshopping in 2017, CEO Lee has emphasized a creative and flexible organizational culture. In response to the recent work environment minimizing face-to-face contact due to COVID-19, he introduced new non-face-to-face communication programs and established dedicated teams, executive training, expanded customized communication channels, and specialized programs to understand the MZ generation, which makes up a large portion of the young employees in the home shopping culture, striving to establish a horizontal organizational culture.

Moving away from the traditional heavy and rigid official events, the content allowed communication and enjoyment in a comfortable atmosphere, receiving high employee response. We will continue to expand communication through various programs in the future."
