552 COVID-19 Cases Nationwide by 9 PM, 67 Fewer Than Yesterday
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] As of 9 PM on the 22nd, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases nationwide in South Korea was 552.
According to health authorities and local governments including Seoul City, from midnight to 9 PM, a total of 552 people nationwide were confirmed positive for COVID-19. This is 67 fewer than the 619 cases reported during the same time frame the previous day.
Of the confirmed cases, 336 (60.9%) were from the Seoul metropolitan area, and 216 (39.1%) were from non-metropolitan areas. The breakdown is as follows: Seoul 175, Gyeonggi 148, Daegu 57, Ulsan 22, Gangwon and Chungnam 19 each, Gyeongnam 16, Busan, Incheon, and Jeonbuk 13 each, Daejeon and Gyeongbuk 12 each, Gwangju and Chungbuk 9 each, Jeju 8, and Jeonnam 7.
