View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 21st that it will resume the first dose of vaccination from the 24th following the government's confirmed plan to additionally allocate Pfizer vaccines for seniors aged 75 and over and residents of elderly facilities.
The county administered Pfizer vaccines to 4,023 out of 7,200 seniors aged 75 and over at the vaccination center from April 15 to 28.
Due to a temporary suspension of Pfizer vaccine supply, from the 6th to the 20th, the county completed the second dose vaccinations, which were scheduled three weeks after the first dose.
According to county officials, with the government's additional procurement and distribution plan for Pfizer vaccines, 3,510 doses have been secured. From the 24th to June 9, all 3,177 first-dose unvaccinated individuals who consented to vaccination will receive their shots, and the second dose will also be completed at three-week intervals.

Moon Jun-hee, mayor of Hapcheon-gun, said, “We apologize to the seniors who experienced inconvenience due to the suspension of vaccinations caused by vaccine supply issues. With the resumption of the first dose, we hope that all seniors wishing to be vaccinated will complete both the first and second doses as soon as possible and return to their normal daily lives.” He urged seniors to actively participate in the vaccination.
