Gochang-gun Holds Briefing Session on Eco-Friendly Rice Production Complex Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, has started the eco-friendly rice production complex project (snail seedling) ahead of the full-scale rice planting season.
The county announced on the 21st that it held a briefing session for the 2021 eco-friendly rice production complex project (snail seedling) on the 3rd floor of the Agricultural Technology Center on the 20th.
The briefing session was attended by 82 complexes participating in this year's project, and included education on the timing of snail introduction and management methods for efficient project implementation.
In particular, from this year, the subsidy rate for the eco-friendly rice production complex project supplying snails to rice farmers has been raised from the existing 50% to 80% if the eco-friendly complex applies, and snails will be supplied to a total of 2,206 hectares.
They plan to steadily increase the project scale to expand the eco-friendly snail farming method throughout the entire Gochang-gun area.
This year, Gochang-gun will invest 4.476 billion KRW in a total of six projects, including the construction of specialized processing facilities and drying/storage facilities, as part of the ‘Eco-friendly Brand Rice Promotion Project’.
