Lotte Chemical and Korea Gas Safety Corporation Join Hands to Enhance Safety Technology in Petrochemical Industry
Business Agreement Signed to Improve Workplace Safety and Discover Latest Safety Inspection Technologies
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Lotte Chemical announced on the 21st that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Gas Safety Corporation at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, Seoul, to improve workplace safety and discover the latest diagnostic technologies.
Through this agreement, both parties agreed to establish a cooperative system based on technical support and personnel exchange, including ▲ workplace safety diagnosis consulting ▲ establishment of optimal facility management systems ▲ safety-related practical training.
The Korea Gas Safety Corporation plans to contribute to strengthening Lotte Chemical’s safety management capabilities and preventing workplace accidents by providing advice on safety-related organizations, standards, and systems, as well as education on advanced management techniques.
Lotte Chemical intends to enhance the actual safety of workplaces through facility and management system diagnostics at its Yeosu, Daesan, and Ulsan plants, while sharing workplace safety management and diagnostic techniques to help improve the Korea Gas Safety Corporation’s expertise. In January of this year, Lotte Chemical announced the 'Four Major Focused Safety and Environmental Enhancement Measures' to redefine safety and environmental standards at all domestic and overseas workplaces to a global top level, including ▲ increased investment in safety and environment ▲ strengthening of professional personnel ▲ system improvements ▲ and internal capability enhancement.
