Aju Group Sponsors 'Seoul Spring Chamber Music Festival' for 10 Consecutive Years
Aju IB Investment Participates as Official Sponsor of Aju Hotel & Resort
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Ajou Group’s affiliates Ajou IB Investment and Ajou Hotel & Resort have participated as official sponsors of the 'Seoul Spring Chamber Music Festival (SSF)' for 10 consecutive years.
Celebrating its 16th anniversary this year, SSF is a world-class classical music festival representing South Korea. Since being selected as a representative festival of Seoul, it has been held annually for about two weeks in May under the motto "Friendship through Music."
This year, under the theme "Ode to Joy," the festival took place from the 13th to the 23rd over 11 days at venues including the Seoul Arts Center IBK Chamber Hall, Sejong Chamber Hall, and Yun Boseon Old House. Notably, this year’s festival was planned to bring hope to the cultural and artistic community struggling due to COVID-19, adding special significance.
Ajou IB Investment and Ajou Hotel & Resort sponsored the performance "Youth" on the 20th during the festival. The performance featured top-level domestic and international musicians playing pieces composed during the youth of world-renowned composers such as Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Saint-Sa?ns, and Dohn?nyi.
A representative of Ajou Group stated, "Amid the difficult times many are facing due to COVID-19, we are very pleased that the domestic representative classical music festival was supported through Ajou IB Investment and Ajou Hotel & Resort and that the performance was successfully held. We hope it was a comforting music festival for many, and we plan to continue our patronage activities by steadily supporting the cultural and artistic fields."
