Symposium Held on the Afternoon of the 21st
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) will hold the 'KAIST-Based Daejeon-Sejong Advanced Industry Ecosystem Creation Symposium' on the afternoon of the 21st at the main campus in Daejeon, Conference Room 1.
At the symposium, discussions will focus on creating an advanced industry ecosystem connecting Daejeon and Sejong based on KAIST's excellent talent development and corporate support programs.
At the event, KAIST Vice President for Research Lee Sang-yeop presented the 'K-NEST' project, revealing KAIST's plan to provide core momentum for the 50th anniversary re-creation project of the Daedeok Innopolis. The plan aims to build a regional cooperation network by establishing a startup park and Daejeon-Sejong landmark spaces, and to create an advanced industrial innovation growth ecosystem connecting Daejeon and Sejong based on innovation growth through super-gap technologies in AI, energy, bio, ESG, and materials, parts, and equipment sectors.
This project, named the Innovation Nest Strategy, includes key implementation measures such as ▲establishing a large-scale regional venture fund ▲granting authority and responsibility to domestic and international top venture investors for startup investment and innovation ecosystem construction ▲and establishing a new startup culture where startup, residential, educational, and cultural spaces coexist in a single area.
