Lotte Hotel Signs Business Agreement with Korea Tourism Organization to Revitalize Traditional Markets
Launching the 'Donghaeng (同行)' Package Linking Traditional Markets Leveraging Nationwide Hotel Holdings
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Hotel announced on the 21st that it will sign a business agreement with the Korea Tourism Organization to revitalize traditional markets.
The signing ceremony will be held this afternoon at Lotte Hotel Seoul. Song Junggu, Head of Domestic Sales Division at Lotte Hotel, and Park Jeongha, Head of International Tourism Division at the Korea Tourism Organization, are expected to attend.
This business agreement focuses on mutual cooperation to support the local economy and small business owners, which have been struggling due to COVID-19. The goal is to leverage Lotte Hotel’s strength of having hotels nationwide to encourage customers to comfortably stay while visiting nearby traditional markets to practice conscientious consumption.
Accordingly, Lotte Hotel is offering the 'Donghaeng (同行)' package until July 11. Eleven Lotte Hotel chains adjacent to 20 representative local traditional markets, including Namdaemun Market and Mangwon Market, are participating. Common benefits include a one-night stay, Onnuri gift certificates, and a clean kit for safe visits to traditional markets (including a brochure of Korea’s top 20 representative markets, masks, two hand sanitizing wet tissues, and hand sanitizer). Additionally, one eco-friendly insulated bag called the 'Lotte Hotel Yummy Bag,' which is also convenient as a shopping basket, will be provided.
Prices start at 140,000 KRW for Lotte Hotels (Seoul, World, Jeju, Ulsan, Busan), 100,000 KRW for L7 Hotels (Myeongdong, Hongdae), and 90,000 KRW for Lotte City Hotels (Mapo, Myeongdong, Ulsan, Jeju). Package prices vary by hotel and date. Detailed information can be found on the official Lotte Hotel website.
