Hapcheon-gun and Korea Southern Power Plant Hold Environmental Experts Invitation Forum
Fulfilling Local Residents' Right to Know and Providing Accurate Information Through a Forum
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, and Korea Southern Power announced on the 20th that they will hold a forum with local residents by inviting environmental experts related to the power plant.
This is because public opinion among residents is divided between pros and cons regarding the Hapcheon Clean Energy Convergence Power Plant Complex Project, and through the forum, they plan to fulfill the residents' right to know and provide accurate information.
The forum will be held at the Ssangbaek Rural-Urban Exchange Center on the 24th for residents of Ssangbaek-myeon and on the 25th for residents of Samga-myeon.
Through an in-depth discussion between local residents and power plant environmental experts, they plan to resolve questions about changes in the surrounding environment due to the construction of the power plant and whether there is any damage to residents' lives and farming activities.
