Hurim Robot Expected to Excel as Educational Robot at Temi High School
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] Hurim Robot's AI-based smart service robot ‘temi’ is being introduced as an educational robot in high schools following its use in domestic universities.
Hurim Robot announced on the 20th that temi is being utilized as an educational robot in the AI club at Seongnam High School in Seoul.
Kim Youngjun, the supervising teacher at Seongnam High School, said, "With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution era, technologies such as AI and robots are becoming increasingly important," and added, "At Seongnam High School, we have been providing students with opportunities to develop various applications (apps) and learn coding."
He continued, "We will do our best to make temi a platform device that can be active in various fields by loading apps and robot operation programs developed through students' fresh ideas."
A Hurim Robot official stated, "Both hardware and software are important to actually operate a robot," but added, "If we utilize the already commercialized robot temi, students will be able to quickly implement many ideas."
He emphasized, "We hope that the robot temi will contribute to students growing into core talents required in the 4th Industrial Revolution era."
Hurim Robot's temi is active as an AI and robotics educational robot in various fields, including Seongnam High School and Hanyang University ERICA. Since last year, Hurim Robot has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hanyang University ERICA to establish an education system using robots.
