Samsung to Launch 'Galaxy S21 Tokyo Olympic Edition' in Japan This June

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Samsung Electronics, an official sponsor of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), will release a special edition of its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S21, to commemorate the Tokyo Olympics expected to be held in July.
According to industry sources on the 20th, Japanese mobile carrier NTT Docomo has started pre-orders for the 'Galaxy S21 5G Olympic Games Edition.' This Olympic edition, set to be released next month, will be sold exclusively in the Japanese market.
The Olympic Games Edition features a Phantom Blue color. The back of the smartphone is entirely matte Phantom Blue, while the side frame and camera module are finished in gold. Additionally, the Olympic symbol, the five rings, is engraved on the back. However, the Tokyo Olympic logo is excluded.
Furthermore, several changes have been applied to the user interface (UI). According to photos posted by NTT Docomo, the Olympic Games Edition appears to feature Olympic design themes on the wallpaper, lock screen, icons, animations, and packaging.

The smartphone’s specifications remain unchanged. It features the same ▲6.2-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display ▲12MP, 12MP, and 64MP rear triple cameras ▲10MP front camera ▲8GB RAM ▲4000mAh battery as the Galaxy S21. The mobile processor (AP) is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888, and the storage capacity is 256GB.
