Gwangju City Conducts Special Quarantine Inspections at 4,856 Locations Including Hagwon and Study Cafes
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 19th that it has been conducting special joint quarantine inspections on a total of 4,856 places including academies, private institutes, reading rooms, and study cafes from the 15th to the 23rd.
This joint inspection is being carried out as part of the 'Gwangju Metropolitan City Special Quarantine Inspection Week Operation' to block the local spread of COVID-19, which has been transmitted among students, families, and peer groups.
Gwangju City formed a joint inspection team of 15 members in 5 teams together with the City Office of Education and 5 autonomous districts to focus on checking compliance with basic quarantine rules such as ▲mask wearing ▲visitor log creation ▲ventilation and disinfection ▲restriction of entry for symptomatic persons ▲designation of quarantine managers, as well as adherence to quarantine rules in academies and study cafes.

During on-site inspections, any violations of quarantine rules will be strictly dealt with under the principle of zero tolerance, including prohibition of gatherings and imposition of fines according to the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.
