Shinsegae Department Store to Hire 3,000 Local Talents Ahead of Daejeon Branch Opening
June 1 to July 31 Online Non-Face-to-Face Win-Win Job Fair
115 Companies Participating Including Shinsegae Group, Partners, and Local Businesses
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Daejeon Shinsegae announced on the 19th that it will hold a large-scale online job fair recruiting over 3,000 people ahead of its opening in August.
The job fair, held for two months from July 1 to July 31, is hosted by the local corporation Daejeon Shinsegae and supported by Daejeon Metropolitan City, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon Employment and Labor Office, and Daejeon Job Economy Promotion Agency. To actively comply with COVID-19 prevention measures and social distancing guidelines and to ensure applicants' safety, the event will be conducted online.
With a scale from basement level 5 to 43 floors above ground and a building area of approximately 280,000㎡, Daejeon Shinsegae is the 13th store of Shinsegae Department Store. Along with the department store, it will feature a hotel and experiential facilities, expected to become a landmark in the central region where scientific content learning, cultural life, and leisure activities are possible.
The job fair will include participation from eight Shinsegae Group companies: Daejeon Shinsegae, E-Mart, Shinsegae International, Shinsegae Food, Starbucks Korea, Shinsegae L&B, Shinsegae Central City, and Shinsegae Casamia. Additionally, 104 Shinsegae partner companies such as Samgu, Wepeak, and Vilcom, as well as three local strong small and medium enterprises including Hanskeu, Radomus, and Dongyang Environment Co., Ltd., will participate, expecting to create employment for over 3,000 people across a total of 115 companies.
The online job fair applications can be submitted through the online recruitment hall on the Job Korea website, and final decisions will be made after document screening and interviews conducted by the participating companies themselves.
