Hamyang-gun Delivers Letter to Strengthen Commitment to Integrity
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 18th that it delivered a letter of integrity to express gratitude to local and external businesses struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to promote the spread of a culture of integrity in the local community.
The letter of integrity states that for the county to advance as an integrity city, the infinite trust of the citizens and businesses, who are partners in county administration, is essential, and the starting point is "the integrity of Hamyang-gun public officials."
To this end, the county is implementing strong integrity and anti-corruption policies, including transparent and fair work processing, prohibition of accepting money and entertainment regardless of reason, and strict punishment based on a zero-tolerance principle for corrupt acts.
In addition, monitoring is being conducted to investigate corruption experiences and suggestions in the field of construction management and supervision, and the county plans to continuously promote the Friendly 5S Movement.
Furthermore, the county operates a Public Official Corruption and Power Abuse Reporting Center at all times, accepting reports both signed and anonymous via phone and the internet homepage regarding public officials receiving money or entertainment, unfair mediation or solicitation acts, and power abuse.
