NongHyup Bank Delivers 'Medical Oxygen Generators' to Support India's COVID-19 Recovery
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 18th that it will deliver 50 'medical oxygen generators' to India, which is suffering from the rapid spread of COVID-19, through the 'Indian Red Cross Society' and the 'Embassy of the Republic of Korea in India.'
The oxygen generators delivered this time will be used in local medical institutions and among the Korean expatriate and resident communities to support the medical environment in the Indian region.
The number of new COVID-19 infections in India has reached an average of 380,000 per day as of last month due to the spread of the highly transmissible 'double mutant virus (B1617)' and religious events, but there is a severe shortage of quarantine and health supplies and medical facilities for treatment.
President Junhak Kwon said, "Upon hearing the news of the damage caused by the severe stage of COVID-19 in India, I participated in the donation to help overcome this difficult time even a little," and added, "I hope the situation will calm down soon so that the Indian people and Korean residents can regain a healthy daily life."
