Director Kim Sang-cheol and his delegation met with Kim Jeong-bae, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and officials from the Cultural Heritage Administration to explain the necessity of promoting local pending projects and requested active support from the central government for the successful hosting of the 102nd National Sports Festival scheduled for October.
Major culture and tourism projects in Gyeongbuk Province include ▲ 7 billion KRW for the Nakdong Cultural Area Wide Cooperation Project ▲ 16 billion KRW for the Regional Tourism Hub City Development Project ▲ 1.3 billion KRW for the Development of Classical Text Translation Smart Convergence System ▲ 105.2 billion KRW for the repair of nationally designated cultural assets ▲ 17.5 billion KRW for the restoration and maintenance of core relics of the Silla Royal Capital ▲ 14.3 billion KRW for the construction of the National Cultural Heritage Repair Materials Center, among others.
