Construction Technology Volunteer Group Signs Technical Service Agreement with Bangi Welfare Center in Songpa-gu and Donates 200kg of Rice
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Kim Kyung-ho) signed a technical volunteer service agreement with Bangi Welfare Center in Songpa-gu on the 13th as part of its in-house technical volunteer group, which focuses on employees' technical talent donations, as an initiative for community sharing management, donating 200kg of rice to underprivileged groups.
The corporation's technical volunteer group was founded in 2010 and has steadily carried out regular technical volunteer activities for vulnerable groups in the district over the past 11 years, striving to fulfill social responsibility as a public institution and expand contributions to the local community.
Recognizing these achievements, the group received the Seoul Mayor's Award at the '2020 Seoul Social Contribution Awards' hosted by the Seoul Welfare Foundation last November.
Although volunteer activities are limited this year due to COVID-19, the technical volunteer group plans to utilize the talents of its employees, accumulated through operating and managing Garak Market, the largest market in Korea, to carry out volunteer work such as home repairs and residential environment improvements for more than 20 vulnerable households, including those with disabilities.
