3 More Cases Including Infection from Gwangju Sangmu District Entertainment Venues... Total 2,635 Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Three additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
According to Gwangju City on the 17th, as of 6 p.m. that day, three people were diagnosed positive and classified as Gwangju cases 2633 to 2635.
Including the previously announced six cases, the total number of new confirmed cases as of today has increased to nine.
Gwangju case 2633 is a contact of Gwangju case 2608, whose infection route has not yet been identified.
Gwangju case 2634 is related to an entertainment establishment in the Sangmu district of Seo-gu. The cumulative number of confirmed cases is 29.
Earlier, quarantine authorities conducted COVID-19 diagnostic tests on 3,058 business owners and workers at the facility.
Gwangju case 2635 is related to a high school located in Gwangsan-gu; symptoms appeared during self-quarantine, leading to a final confirmation.
In Gwangju, 2,495 people are currently undergoing COVID-19 testing, and 2,635 have tested positive.
