Hwasun-gun Fosters Smart and Eco-Friendly 'Future Livestock Industry'
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Hwasun County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) is fostering the "future livestock industry" with the values of smartness and eco-friendliness.
According to Hwasun County on the 17th, they have steadily enhanced livestock competitiveness by expanding eco-friendly livestock farms, recycling livestock manure, reducing odors to create a better livestock environment, and producing high-quality forage.
The county plans to revitalize livestock trading within the region by establishing state-of-the-art auction facilities and will focus on breeding livestock to develop Jeonnam's top Hanwoo brand.
In addition, they are intensively fostering environmentally friendly livestock farms by expanding smart livestock integrated with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and eco-friendly livestock certification farms.
To this end, they are supporting 4.137 billion KRW for livestock ICT convergence support projects, livestock modernization projects, and green livestock fund projects.
They are concentrating on fostering eco-friendly farms with 60 certifications for antibiotic-free livestock products, 97 applications for clean livestock farm designation, and 17 designations for Jeonnam Province's animal welfare-type green livestock farms.
The county is supporting 220 million KRW for livestock odor improvement projects and microbial odor reducers to expand proper manure treatment facilities.
Also, to stabilize feed supply and promote domestic forage production and utilization, they are supporting 2.1 billion KRW for a farm feed direct transaction activation support project.
They are improving the livestock environment and increasing forage utilization by supporting 2.529 billion KRW for forage silage manufacturing, fostering specialized forage production complexes, quality control, machinery and equipment, and seeding costs, striving to produce livestock products that meet consumer preferences by enhancing animal health and meat quality.
They also promote livestock trading activation by supporting the construction of state-of-the-art auction facilities (livestock markets) through the livestock distribution modernization project.
