LG Display Showcases Differentiated OLED Products at US SID Exhibition
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] LG Display is participating in the 'SID (Society for Information Display) 2021' exhibition held from the 17th (local time in the U.S.) to the 21st, showcasing differentiated OLED products.
SID is the world's largest display event where global display-related companies and academia gather in one place to exhibit new technologies and products and present research papers. Due to the impact of COVID-19, this year’s event is held online.
At this SID, LG Display will open a virtual exhibition hall composed of three zones under the theme of 'New Opportunities Led by OLED Technology': ▲OLED ▲New Value Creation ▲Automotive Display, delivering special value and experiences that only OLED can provide.

The 83-inch next-generation OLED TV panel, which has improved luminous efficiency by more than 20%, enhances screen brightness to display images more clearly. HDR is also strengthened to maximize contrast and color expression, offering the advantage of delivering lifelike picture quality.
In the New Value Creation zone, LG Display exhibits differentiated products that only OLED can realize, including ▲CSO (Cinematic Sound OLED) ▲Bendable ▲Rollable ▲Transparent ▲OLEDoS (OLED On Silicon) for AR, showcasing new values of OLED.
The '48-inch Bendable CSO,' which combines CSO technology that produces sound directly from the screen without separate speakers and bendable technology that allows the screen to be curved, maximizes visual immersion and vivid realism, providing an optimal gaming display environment.
The '0.42-inch OLEDoS for AR' offers the highest level of resolution and luminance (brightness) among existing AR displays, providing the optimal display solution for AR devices.
In the Automotive Display zone, LG Display proposes the future of automotive displays by exhibiting products such as a super-large automotive display made by connecting four displays in a T-shape using its unique plastic OLED (P-OLED) technology and a 12.8-inch rollable display.
In particular, the super-large automotive display, which connects four displays into one, maximizes the advantages of plastic OLED, which offers perfect black expression and can be easily bent or curved for natural curved designs. This product demonstrates the most advanced technology among automotive displays.
