Starting on the 17th, 'Anywhere Civil Complaints' Operation Begins: Nation's First Electronic Contract Administrative Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) will operate the nation’s first electronic contract administrative service through the ‘The Gangnam’ app, starting on the 17th with the launch of ‘Anywhere Civil Service,’ which allows applications for various certificate issuances, and by the end of this month, including welfare benefits and COVID-19 living support payments.
Residents no longer need to visit the district office or community centers to apply for civil services. ‘Anywhere Civil Service’ is a service that enables users to conveniently apply for major civil petitions such as tax payment certificates, graduation (transcript) certificates, and individual official land price checks anytime and anywhere through the ‘The Gangnam’ app in a non-face-to-face manner. The electronic contract method is introduced in the relevant administrative fields, eliminating the need for paper.
The procedure is simple. After the applicant completes identity verification, they fill out the application form, electronically sign it, and submit it. Then, the responsible official processes the request and sends a notification message. Through this service, which holds the same legal effect as paper applications, forgery and alteration can be prevented, and the use of paper generated during existing civil service processing can be reduced.
From the end of this month, applications for Eco Mileage will also be available. It will be possible to handle everything from discovering welfare support recipients to benefit application and payment in a one-stop process. Since it can be executed immediately on-site via the app, it is expected to resolve welfare blind spots through prompt support.
